 DHARMA DHWAJ HOISTED BY PM MODI MAKES AYODHYA HIGH SECURITY ZONE

1. Flag Hoisting Ceremony Completed

PM Narendra Modi hoisted a saffron “Dharma Dhwaj” atop the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya in a grand Dhwajarohan ceremony. The ceremony took place in the Abhijit Muhurat, considered very auspicious. According to PMO, the flag symbolizes dignity, unity, and cultural continuity, embodying the ideals of Ram Rajya. 

2. PM Modi’s Remarks & Symbolism

PM Modi called the event “historic,” saying the wounds and pain of centuries are finally healing today.” He said the flag will stand as a testament to truth, stating that “truth ultimately triumphs over falsehood.” 

He also framed the moment civilisationally: “This religious flag is not merely a flag. It is the banner of the renaissance of Indian civilisation.” 

Modi expressed his commitment to building a “developed and strong” India by 2047 (100 years of independence). 

3. Ceremony & Participation

High-profile guests: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, and Governor Anandiben Patel were present. 

More than 8,000 invitees attended the event, according to India Today. 

Priests / Acharyas from different regions participated in the rituals. 

Before the hoisting, PM Modi visited several shrines within the temple complex:

Saptmandir (temples of Vashishtha, Vishwamitra, Agastya, Valmiki, etc.) 

Annapurna Temple and Sheshavatar Mandir 

Darshan & pooja at Ram Darbar Garbh-­Grah and Ram Lalla shrine. 

4. Security & City Preparations

Ayodhya has been turned into a high-security zone, especially the 2.5 km stretch of the temple path. 

~6,970 security personnel are deployed, including ATS, NSG, cyber and technical units. 

Traffic management is tight, with drone surveillance and special barricades. 

There are special parking and direction arrangements for ~6,000 guests, using GPS-based control. 

Ayodhya is being pushed as a global spiritual tourism destination, with big infrastructure investments. 

5. Spiritual / Symbolic Significance

The Sun, Om, and Tree on the flag: deeper meanings. According to Economic Times:

Sun = Divinity, eternal dharma 

Om = cosmic sound, creation, spiritual order 

Tree = life, growth, rooted faith 

PM described it as more than a ritual — it’s a “civilisational resolve kept alive for 500 years.”
