Actor Rakul Preet Singh recently shared a humorous anecdote about having Shah Rukh Khan as a temporary neighbour. With Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic Mumbai home, Mannat, undergoing major renovation, the actor has shifted to Puja Casa — a luxury building owned by producer Vashu Bhagnani. Since Rakul lives in another building of the same complex, she expressed her excitement at the unexpected proximity to the superstar.
Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Rakul revealed that she is a huge admirer of SRK and jokingly told her husband, Jackky Bhagnani, to send her anytime Shah Rukh needed help with anything at home because she didn’t want to miss a chance to meet him. She laughingly recalled feeling disappointed when Jackky went ahead to welcome SRK on his arrival while she was away shooting for De De Pyaar De 2.
Rakul added that she later got the opportunity to meet Shah Rukh Khan during a dinner and described him as warm, humble and extremely welcoming.
Shah Rukh Khan will be residing at Puja Casa for the next couple of years while Mannat’s renovation continues. Reports suggest that the actor is renting a four-floor apartment worth around ₹8.5 crore, with a monthly rent exceeding ₹25 lakh.
Meanwhile, SRK’s fans who usually gather outside Mannat on his birthday had to miss the annual wave this year due to heightened security restrictions. On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is preparing for his next big release — Siddharth Anand’s King — slated to hit theatres in 2026.
