She is a 51-year-old businesswoman who runs a gifting and photo-frame business.
She says she was called to the office of a pharma company.
When she got there, one of the officials allegedly hit her on the shoulder and back with the butt of a revolver.
She claims she was taken to the managing director’s cabin at gunpoint.
Inside the cabin, she says they forced her to remove her burkha and even strip naked.
She alleges that they took photos and videos of her in her undergarments.
She was then allegedly threatened:
They told her the videos would be posted on social media if she resisted.
She was also told that they could trap her in a false case and get her jailed if she spoke up.
Despite this fear, she eventually went to the police and filed a complaint.
What the police have done so far?
The FIR has been registered at NM Joshi Marg Police Station in Mumbai.
Six senior officials from the pharma company — including the managing director — have been booked.
The charges against them include assault, intimidation, threatening with a weapon, molestation, forced stripping, and also IT Act sections for threatening to leak private photos/videos.
The police say the investigation has just begun.
